Flutter Developer (Contractor Role) – Remote

Job Description

We are seeking an Experienced Flutter Developer with at least 3 years of professional experience to contribute to the development of new features in our existing mobile application. The ideal candidate must possess strong expertise in Flutter, as well as native iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin/Java) development, particularly in working with geolocation, background tasks, and persistent processes that continue running when the app is inactive or closed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new features for the mobile application using Flutter.
  • Integrate and optimize device location services, background processing, and real-time geolocation tracking.
  • Work with native iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin/Java) for platform-specific functionality.
  • Ensure the performance, responsiveness, and stability of the application.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and bugs.
  • Maintain code quality, structure, and automation using industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the team to define, design, and implement new application features.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Flutter: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience developing mobile applications.
  • Native iOS & Android Development: Experience with Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin/Java (Android).
  • Geolocation & Mapping Services: Expertise in GPS tracking, geofencing, Google Maps API, and location-based services.
  • Background Processing: Experience in handling background tasks, scheduled jobs, and persistent processes that continue running when the app is not active.
  • Push Notifications & Permissions: Experience implementing and managing push notifications, device permissions, and app lifecycle management.
  • RESTful APIs & Data Handling: Strong knowledge of API integration, including handling real-time data updates and asynchronous operations.
  • Code Testing & Quality Assurance: Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging tools in Flutter and native platforms.
  • Version Control: Proficiency in Git and GitHub for collaborative development and version control.
  • Performance Optimization: Knowledge of memory management, efficient data handling, and best practices for battery and resource optimization.
